Christine Chung, L.Ac., FABORM

Christine Chung is licensed in California as an acupuncturist, herbalist and nutritionist, and is a board-certified fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM).  She holds a B.A. in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley (1994) and a M.S. from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco (1999).  She has studied and worked closely with Angela Wu, a leading fertility specialist, and has also worked in hospitals in Shanghai, China, where she completed post-clinical training in departments including Cardiology, Pulmonology, Oncology, and Urology, with an emphasis in Acupuncture and OB/Gyn and fertility.

Christine has completed extensive post-graduate training in acupuncture technique, herbal prescription, obstetrics, gynecology, and fertility,  both in the U.S. and in China with renowned acupuncturist Wang Ju-Yi.  In addition to maintaining a private practice, Christine also served on the faculty of the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine for 4 years, and has also worked in community medicine, administering detox acupuncture in the San Francisco County jails.  

Christine emphasizes personalized and detailed case management and patient education.  She believes in teaching and empowering her patients to achieve their own well-being, and is passionate about nutrition.  

Christine lives in San Francisco with her husband and daughter.  In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family, cooking, and reading.  She has been studying tai chi since 1996.
